Originally from New York City Jay Black has been a long time Oklahoma Sooners fan and Karaoke lover for over 20 years. He retired from karaoke battles & competition in 2011 and left the land of skyscrapers and mass transit systems for the quiet life of Oklahoma. But the hunger for Karaoke competition called to him for some time and now he has returned to the Karaoke stage this year in a quest to become Oklahoma's first State Champion. When Jay Black is not on stage, his alter ego Jason is working with the University of Oklahoma to help his fellow Oklahomans with the Energy Assistance Program as well as the Forge Your Trail Program which helps Fathers improve their communication skills. He spends time with his amazing wife Amanda enjoying life and discovering new wines to taste.
