USKA Appoints John Durkin as New Regional Chapter President for the Mid-Atlantic
The United States Karaoke Association (USKA) is pleased to announce the appointment of John Durkin as the new Regional Chapter President for the Mid-Atlantic. Durkin brings a wealth of experience and enthusiasm to the role, promising to elevate the region’s karaoke scene to new heights. He has hosted Karaoke in the Philadelphia, Pennsylvania region for 25 years. He was the first KJ to organize a multi-venue contest in the Philadelphia region back in 2001. His leadership and innovative approach will be instrumental in organizing numerous successful karaoke events and competitions across the Mid-Atlantic region.

His dedication and vision align perfectly with our mission to promote and celebrate the art of karaoke,” said Robin “Sissi” Mercer, President of USKA. “We are confident that under his leadership, the Mid-Atlantic will thrive and foster a vibrant and inclusive karaoke community.”

As Regional Chapter President, Durkin will oversee the planning and execution of specific state and regional events including the Karaoke Cup, upcoming USKA Junior competitions, and community engagement initiatives. He aims to introduce new programs that will attract diverse participants and provide opportunities for both amateur and professional karaoke enthusiasts to showcase their talents.
