About
I was born and raised in Tupelo, Mississippi. I grew up listening to gospel and blues music. I started singing in church as a child with my 3 sisters. I came from a musical family. I love to listen to Blues, R&B, Jazz, and Gospel music. I would go to Karaoke, but I wouldn't sing because I didn't think that I could sing that well. I tried one time, and it didn't go well, so I didn't do it again. It wasn't until 2003, when I was deployed overseas, that I began to participate in Karaoke. Hey, no one knew me, so it was easy. My go to song then was "I Will Survive" by Gloria Gaynor. People told me that I sounded good, so I kept singing. Participating in Karaoke was all downhill from there. I've been doing it ever since. Music is my peace, and karaoke is my stress relief. You never know who may be touched when you sing a song. My favorite artists to sing are Gladys Knight, Aretha Franklin, Jill Scott, and Tina Turner. I really feel the songs that I sing, and it shows in my performances. Hey, I addicted to it!!!!
