John resides in Arcadia, FL with his 2 beautiful girls, a 9 year old Golden Retriever named London Rose and his 2 year old Goldendoodle, named Paris Rose, which he often refers to as his Wackadoodle. Born in Houston Texas and raised in the Midwest, John has spent most of his adult career life as an entrepreneur. One of his careers included doing professional Voice-over work for local business commercials he produced. John does all types of voice impersonations, and loves making people laugh with his Scooby-Doo and Shaggy impression. His love of music stems from an early age in school choir. He had an amazing music teacher that would always praise his vocal skills and assure him just how special his voice was. His first time to sing publicly, was encouraged by his mother, whom sang in church quite frequently. John sang as a special guest one Sunday morning at the age of 16. His song choice was a song titled "Friends" by Michael W. Smith. That was a monumental moment in the framework of his life. John discovered karaoke in his young 20's and would travel around the St Louis, MO area, singing anywhere he could find it. He built confidence, by entering singing competitions, and open mic nights every chance he got. When he was 23 years old, he decided to pack up all he owned and move to Nashville, TN to pursue a music career as a singer and songwriter. In the midst of pursuing a recording contract with a well known record label, some personal life events, pushed him into abandoning his dreams of becoming a professional entertainer, and he moved back home to Missouri to be near his family. That was over 30 years ago, and just recently he decided to get back into singing and songwriting and see where this journey might take him. Winning 1st place in the 2025 USKA Florida State competition, has really given him the courage and confidence he needed to push him back into the love of music.
