About

I was 3 years old when I sang my first karaoke song publicly with my parents; which isn't surprising for those that know my mom was a natural maestro with perfect pitch. She was a music therapist who could play any instrument she picked up, with the voice of an angel, that also taught music lessons to share her passion with others. I found solace and healing carrying on her legacy primarily through singing.

In elementary school I sang in the church choir while visiting grandparents and joined choir class in middle school. Highschool led me to chamber choir and musicals. I had a choir scholarship for undergrad and also sang in church choirs through undergrad and grad school. Once I turned 21 I added karaoke at local bars to my singing repertoire. During COVID I found connection recording on the Smule app. Currently I have found community and my karaoke family here in St. Louis where I sing multiple nights a week with my people. The same people that convinced me to compete in the IKF Karaoke Cup this year.

Despite my initial hesitation and amount of necessary encouragement to compete, I'm blessed to meet all the people I have on this journey and become part of the USKA family.
