Born in North Carolina to a proud U.S. Marine. Also known on stage as DJ Jana, — I have called Florida home since I was one year old. I am the third of my father’s five daughters, but I was raised alongside my 2 sisters Annie and Kristin, in a home filled with music, faith, and perseverance. My love for singing started in church with my sisters; we called ourselves The Mullis Girls. Later, my dad would take us to a family restaurant every Saturday night for karaoke. That’s where I fell in love with performing. It wasn’t just singing — it was storytelling, connection, and healing. My mom is my hero. After my parents divorced, she worked three jobs to keep us going and still managed to show up for every dream we chased. She taught me that strength isn’t about never falling — it’s about getting back up every single time. Because of her, I learned to never give up on my dreams or what I truly want out of life. I’m also so thankful for my stepdad, James. He’s an amazing man who takes wonderful care of my mom, and I know I can always count on him. His support and kindness mean the world to me, and I’m grateful to have him in my life. The past few years have tested me — Divorce, lost one of my karaoke-hosting gigs, then lastly being laid off from a ten-year job I loved dealry — but it reminded me who I am: a fighter, a dreamer, and someone who won’t let life silence my song. Now I’m proud to represent Team Florida at the 2025 Karaoke World Cup Finals in Las Vegas. And just like my mom was for me, I hope to inspire my two amazing kids to chase their passions and never stop believing in what they love.
