Hi, my name is Eric Robert, and I’m proud to represent Springfield, Illinois, where the arts are alive and well! I bring an emotionally grounded pop/R&B sound to the stage, performances rooted in truth, shaped by story, and delivered with technical precision.

I grew up performing in musicals and was a member of No Comment A Cappella, competing in the International Championship of Collegiate A Cappella (ICCA), where we placed 11th nationally. Music was my first love, but life called me to serve, and I stepped away from the stage to join the U.S. Navy as a Nuclear Electronics Technician. After completing my service, I’ve returned to the music with a fresh perspective: one that values authenticity above all else.

My inspirations are including but not limited to John Legend, Kendrick Lamar, Michael Bublé, Hozier, Jon Batiste, Freddie Mercury, Elton John, and Billy Joel, artists who channel emotion into something to connect us all. For me, feeling comes first, but I also strive to honor each song with the technical excellence it deserves.

By day, I’m an engineer; by night, a storyteller. One day, I hope to write and share my own music with others who see themselves in my journey. Competing in the International Karaoke Federation is a tremendous blessing, and I don’t take this stage lightly. The grace and opportunity I’ve been given, I intend to pour back into every performance.

Special thanks to my family, and to my wife Savannah, my constant beam of support. And to anyone who sees a piece of themselves in my voice, I sing for you.

Oh, and if you catch me humming while programming a chiller don’t worry, that’s just my warmup.
