Singing and Performing have been a part of my life always. In the heart of Baltimore City, I grew up listening to Country, Big Band, and true R&B... No sleight to the R&B stylings of today but for me, there is a difference in the storytelling that defines the old-school. My dad played sax and sat in with all the greats of his time (1934-1960's) on Pennsylvania avenue, which is where my mom first saw him and, well here I am. Although she loved music, other than required curriculum, I was not allowed to study music but that did not stop me. I lied about after-school study sessions in order to try-out and attend practices for school musicals and plays. Oddly enough, SHE WAS MY 2nd BIGGEST fan (Dad was always #1) when she showed up and saw me on stage! In that, she taught me that you don't have to agree with or approve of everything your child does to be proud of their accomplishments in the doing. God... I love and miss that woman! Over the years, I have been part of my high school gospel choir and several cover bands performing a wide genre of music from classic rock to modern country and everything in between. When my work schedule prevented me from continuing to commit to it... KARAOKE! No matter where I am in the world, I can always find myself surrounded by friends. Unlike most, I don’t have a ‘go-to’ song but my ‘go-to’ genre is Country. But you never know what I will do because I never know! Today, I have done so many great things through karaoke. Opportunities have opened that I didn't know to dream of much less chase. I am here today writing this because, in: 2023 I competed in the USKA arena and met Gayle Fisher 2024 I became a registered IKF judge because Gayle Fisher asked 2024 I became a performance mentor for the Illinois and Missouri state finalist and Elite 8 because if I wasn't on that stage competing then I wanted to share my experience 2025 I accepted the position as the Assistant Director for USKA Illinois and USKA Missouri under Gayle Fisher
